My Top 3 Business Books of November 2022

Getting to the next level is always a work in progress. The biggest change comes from changing our Mindset which in my opinion is the most powerful and rewarding element of success.

Whether it be living life on a higher plane or having greater success in business.

I love learning about sales, marketing, and self-improvement

These  3 books have been pivotal for me in my personal growth in these areas.

I hope you explore them and find them as beneficial as I have.

1. "Never Split the Difference: Negotiating As If Your Life Depended On It" by Chris Voss

If you negotiate anything, especially in business this is a must-read.

A former international hostage negotiator for the FBI offers a new, field-tested approach to high-stakes negotiations―whether in the boardroom or at home.

** A Wall Street Journal Bestseller **

After a stint policing the rough streets of Kansas City, Missouri, Chris Voss joined the FBI, where his career as a hostage negotiator brought him face-to-face with a range of criminals, including bank robbers and terrorists. Reaching the pinnacle of his profession, he became the FBI’s lead international kidnapping negotiator. Never Split the Difference takes you inside the world of high-stakes negotiations and into Voss’s head, revealing the skills that helped him and his colleagues succeed where it mattered most: saving lives. In this practical guide, he shares the nine effective principles―counterintuitive tactics and strategies―you too can use to become more persuasive in both your professional and personal life.

Life is a series of negotiations you should be prepared for: buying a car, negotiating a salary, buying a home, renegotiating rent, deliberating with your partner. Taking emotional intelligence and intuition to the next level, Never Split the Difference gives you the competitive edge in any discussion.

2. "The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield

The War of Art has been one of the most insightful books I have ever read. It is a short read and explains the difference in mindset between the amateur and professional. It identifies the limiting thoughts we have to achieve greater success and how to overcome them.

A succinct, engaging, and practical guide for succeeding in any creative sphere, The War of Art is nothing less than Sun-Tzu for the soul.

What keeps so many of us from doing what we long to do?

Why is there a naysayer within? How can we avoid the roadblocks of any creative endeavor—be it starting up a dream business venture, writing a novel, or painting a masterpiece?

Bestselling novelist Steven Pressfield identifies the enemy that every one of us must face, outlines a battle plan to conquer this internal foe, then pinpoints just how to achieve the greatest success.

The War of Art emphasizes the resolve needed to recognize and overcome the obstacles of ambition and then effectively shows how to reach the highest level of creative discipline.

Think of it as tough love . . . for yourself.

Whether an artist, writer or business person, this simple, personal, and no-nonsense book will inspire you to seize the potential of your life.

Nic Peterson is a genius - this is another short read which will help you on your journey to success.

Are you a “high performer” yet still feel like you're not getting enough done or enjoying the “grind”?

Bumpers is not a "self-help" book but a battle-tested blueprint to building the life of your dreams and living on YOUR terms.

Similar to the bumpers you would put up in the bowling alley, the bumpers this book will help you design will allow you to play “all in” with 100% effort while keeping you out of the gutter.
